David DeMour

The 1990s, a time of chaos and crime. Adults kill each other for profit, teenagers commit robberies. One such teenager was David Damour. Only 17, he was already a gang member.
His father left the family before David was born. After some time, she found a new man, Vyacheslav, a crime boss, and that's how his brother, Kolya Romadov, was born. Vyacheslav was rarely home and later divorced their mother, only seeing his son occasionally and giving him gifts.
His mother, overcome with grief, turned to drink and neglected her children. At first, David tried to earn extra money, occasionally stealing small sums of money. But then he turned to robbery to keep himself and his brother from starving.
May 7, 1993. David was getting ready for another mission, but his younger brother kept nagging him about wanting to go with him. This had happened before, but this time Kolya was much more insistent.

  Romadov stood in the hallway, already dressed. He wore jeans that were too big for him for two years now, an old jacket of David's that had been passed down, worn-out sneakers, and tousled blond curls.
