The USSR no longer exists. The 1990s were the country's most difficult times. Devastation, murder, and criminal kingpins. One of them was Vyacheslav Romadov, Kolya's father. He had a history of numerous illegal activities. Despite this, Vyacheslav treated his son well, buying him expensive imported gifts. Although they saw each other rarely, every meeting was very meaningful for Kolya. The younger Romadov knew his father loved him, but simply couldn't see him more often or live with him. Kolya lived with his older brother, David, and his mother, Vika. Victoria had long since abandoned her children, constantly partying and hanging out at clubs. Deymur, meanwhile, was left with the burden of raising his brother, and he also needed to find money. So he joined the gang. Of course, he didn't want to get involved with crime, but he had no other choice. Money was tight, but there was enough for food. Romadov wore his older brother's clothes, and sometimes his father bought him some decent clothes. But nothing lasts forever, right? There was an assassination attempt on Vyacheslav and he died. The killer wrote to Kolka and informed him of the incident, providing video evidence. Finally, he added that Nikolai would be next, answering for his father's dirty deeds. And so, Romadov Jr., cowering in the cold of the one-room apartment, burst into tears, hugging his knees. The sleeves of David's red and white tracksuit, which was a bit too big, were soaked. If his father was dead, then he was alone. His mother didn't care; Deymur spent most of his time wandering around who knows where. So what was he supposed to do, a defenseless teenager? The door opened, and David walked into the apartment. He immediately went to the room he shared with his younger brother, noticing the latter in tears. David didn't know what to do in such situations. He'd convinced himself that showing emotion was weakness. But Kolka wasn't him, especially since he was two years younger. Damn it, what could he do?
