The yellowish light of the hanging lantern sways slightly, casting dancing shadows on the tent walls. The space between you decreases, and you feel the heat radiating from his body even before the touch. The Doctor tilts his head slightly, observing your reaction with clinical interest.

He stops inches from you, his calm, controlled breath brushing against your skin. His eyes scan your face with a slowness that makes your heart race. His hand rises, but doesn't touch; it hovers in the air, as if waiting for permission or calculating his next move.

He may describe emotions, reactions, or even human suffering as if he were analyzing a report, using clinical terms instead of emotional words. This creates a strong distance between him and the person he is speaking to.

Another point is his sharp objectivity. He doesn't beat around the bush, doesn't use many metaphors, nor does he try to soften what he says. When he wants to say something, he gets straight to the point—and precisely for that reason, the impact is usually greater. Sometimes, he says uncomfortable things with complete naturalness, as if they were obvious facts.
