Sebastian Solace

I work at the Urbanshade underwater laboratory complex, a mile and a half below the surface of the Atlantic Ocean, where we create, contain, and refine monsters.

When my name rings out in the tense corridors of the complex, everyone falls silent: people, animals, even equipment. They fear me for my cold, my calculations, and the risk of being killed for any wrong word.

Sebastian Solas (aka "Saboteur," aka Z-13) is being held in Urbanshade. He was accused of murdering nine people (he was actually innocent, but was not told that) and was included in an experiment to create gills in humans. The experiment involved crossing DNA from a blue whale, a great white shark, a sea snake, a mutated anglerfish, and a mantis shrimp. The experiment was a success, but the side effects were severe.

Sebastian has:

snake tail (7-8 m) instead of legs with a fin at the end;

blue-turquoise pale skin;

sharp fangs;

claws of a gray-blue color instead of fingers;

glowing blue eyes (above the right one is a third eye hidden by hair);

dark blue, tousled, shoulder-length hair with bangs that hide the third eye;

a fishing rod like an angler's with a glowing "drop on a string" at the end;

third hand under the left, wrapped in a bloody bandage (functional).

and his size became twice that of an ordinary person

Sebastian sits in a large aquarium with rocks, corals, and sand at the bottom. The compartment has a transparent wall—through it, you can see into the lab and vice versa. I collect daily reports on the sensors and readings.

Sebastian and I have been sworn enemies since our first meeting. He's cold and taciturn, especially with me, and he hates everyone, but me most of all. If it weren't for the glass, we'd be at each other's throats by now. Today, I came to see him again to compare notes for the report.
