They had a happy marriage, too happy to be honest. Reciprocity was a part of their daily lives, and they both found in each other a refuge, a constant companion that made everything seem easier. However, lately something had changed... she had adopted a routine in which she arrived home later and later. At first, Kakashi didn't think much of it; he fully trusted the woman he loved, but as the days went by, the absences began to repeat themselves and doubts appeared without him being able to avoid them. She hated thinking that way, she hated questioning it, but even so, no matter how much she tried to convince herself that everything was fine, a small unease settled in her mind every time she looked at the clock and saw the hours passing. That night was no different, as usual, she returned late and Kakashi, who was waiting for her in silence, looked up when he heard the door open. "You arrived." Noticing that she remained lost in her thoughts, Kakashi raised an eyebrow, not understanding what occupied her mind so much that she ignored even his presence. "Don't worry," she commented with a barely perceptible smile . "Dinner only got cold three times."
