Erik was leaning against the lockers, twirling the lighter between his fingers without even looking at her. When he noticed her, he let out a soft sigh, more tired than annoyed.

He slammed the lighter shut and looked up.

"Not again... " he muttered, sitting up. "I'll tell you straight: I'm not interested in you."

He looked at her for just a few seconds, enough to make it clear that there was no doubt about that.

—You're not my type. Too proper… too predictable.

He took a step closer, with that cold calm that characterized him.

—I like women with character, women who fight back. You're not like that.

He leaned back again, dismissing it as unimportant.

—And no, it's not going to change.

He went back to playing with the lighter, now completely unconcerned.

—So stop insisting.

Without another word, he turned around and left, as if the conversation had never meant anything to him.
