He is also the cousin of Stefani and Charlie Reyes. His grandmother is Iris—the woman who had a premonition in 1969 that saved several lives and triggered Death targeting the Campbell bloodline. Later, he is revealed to be the product of an affair between Jerry Fenbury and Brenda Campbell, making him, biologically, the older half brother of Bobby and Julia, and not related to Iris through bloodline. Personality: Erik works as a tattoo artist. He has a rebellious and bold personality. He wears black clothes, has many piercings and tattoos, and has a sarcastic sense of humor. He doesn't believe in the supernatural and often makes fun of the idea that Death has a design or pattern. However, deep down, Erik is very protective of his family, especially Bobby and Stefani. Even though he acts like he doesn't care, he tries to keep them safe in his own way.

Erik is playing Mortal Kombat 1 when Bobby interrupts him and urges him to help find his pet turtle, Paco. Erik is annoyed and dismissive over his brother's worries and gets angry when Bobby continues to interfere with his gaming session, telling Bobby that he's in a ranked match. Just then, Stefani and Charlie Reyes arrive, which surprises the two. Erik is informed by Charlie that Stefani isn't doing well in college. He happily tells Stefani that he didn't do well either and tries to help Bobby find Paco. Later, Stefani asks Erik's parents about their grandma Iris, to which Howard says that Iris is a very disturbed woman. When Bobby, Erik and Julia join them, Erik is holding a golf club and asks what they're talking about. Charlie informs him that Stefani is dreaming about Iris, who Erik proceeds to call "psycho granny." Charlie finds Paco in the refrigerator and Erik tells them that Paco would enjoy being in the living room. Afterwards, Stefani goes to find Iris, where she witnesses her die in a freak accident. Not long after, Erik, along with his and Stefani's family, attend Iris' funeral. There, he is smacked by Julia on the arm after he asks Stefani an inconsiderate question about Iris' death, which he subsequently apologizes for.

Afterwards, the entire family meets for a barbecue, where Erik is placed in charge of the grill. When Darlene arrives at the barbeque, Erik puts his bottle of Hice Pale Ale on the outdoor fireplace. Darlene has made cookies and after Charlie takes a bite, he asks if there's peanut butter in it and she confirms. Erik asks if she's trying to kill Bobby and she remembers that Bobby is allergic. Howard gives a toast to the entire family and they drink from their glasses. Later on, he, Marty, Howard, and Julia all play Jenga, until Howard gets called to jump on the trampoline in the garden by Bobby. Stefani later arrives to see if everyone is alright. A chain reaction causes Howard's face to be shredded by a lawnmower. Erik and Marty run to stop the lawnmower, but it's too late. After Howard's funeral, Erik and the rest of the family are gathered by Stefani where they are informed on Death's design. Julia tells Stefani that they aren't connected to the deaths of other people and Erik agrees with her. After Bobby starts to understand Stefani's theory, Erik stops him from believing her. Stefani proceeds to tell the family about their place on Death's list. Erik is told that he should be the second to die in Howard's bloodline, and in response, he gives his cousin the middle finger and tells her to go fuck herself. After hearing Stefani's explanation, Erik asks Charlie if he believes in Stefani, to which he replies saying he's unsure. Tearful, Brenda starts to leave and others follow suit. Before Erik leaves, Stefani warns him and is concerned about his safety. He tells her to stop and leaves to comfort his mother.

Later that night, Erik is at the tattoo parlor, working as a favor for his boss. He is told that he has to lock up for the night and he complains. After Erik finishes working on tongue piercing a customer inside of the tattoo parlor, he goes over to close the shop for the night. Before he leaves, he cleans his tattoo bed with a flammable "Multi-Surface Disinfectant Spray" as he turns on his ceiling fan, which spins dangerously close to some hanging chains. He checks his phone and sees Stefani worrying over him. He tells her to stop bothering him and that he's trying to sleep. After seeing a photo of him and his father, wanting to remember him after he passed away, he went over to work on a tattoo for himself. Along with this, he puts on a song from a playlist that is titled "Erik's Sad Mix". The mix plays Air Supply's "Without You". Death then begins to use the items to claim Erik's life. As the song plays with the sound system, the vibrations from the subwoofer cause a bobblehead skeleton situated on it to fall from its place, colliding with other materials before causing a glass jar full of needles/pins to fall and shatter on the floor, causing a loud sound. Due to the sound, Erik gets up to check and proceeds to clean the mess, but pushes his chair a bit too hard, which hits the gallon of isopropyl alcohol. After it fell over, Death opens it to spill the IPA. Before realizing what else has fallen, a chain from the ceiling breaks and falls, attaching itself onto Erik's nose ring. Erik is briefly shocked and tries to detach the chain.

However, he soon starts to panic as he notices the chain beginning to wrap itself around the fan, pulling him up closer to the ceiling. Erik struggles to free himself and tries to balance on a chair, failing to detach the chain. As it becomes increasingly more painful, he tries to partially stand elsewhere but accidentally knocks over a lamp into the spilled disinfectant spray, causing it to start a fire a few feet away from him. Now desperate, he tries to stand on a glass display case, but it breaks under his weight, forcing him to move to the nearby tattoo bed. The fan slowly breaks apart as he helplessly tries to balance himself on the bed. It finally breaks as he swings towards the fire, pulling the fan out of its socket and making him fall into the flames that proceed to engulf him. He is also branded by a heart piercing that fell earlier. However, Erik manages to survive due to his leather clothing protecting him from the flames. The next morning, he is almost hit by a car and expresses disappointment when realizing that it is Stefani and Charlie. The two are confused after hearing about the tattoo parlor burning down and Stefani is relieved to see him alive. He shows them the heart branding on his arm and rebukes her constant messaging late last night. Stefani then expresses confusion about him surviving and he reassures them that Death isn't coming after their family, calling the idea crazy before almost getting hit by a delivery van.

Afterwards, he informs them that maybe he is invincible. Erik continues to walk and Stefani tells him to avoid various things that could kill him. He mocks her and Julia walks out of his family's home. She is concerned once she notices his injuries, but he waves her off. After Stefani tells him to stay away from the garbage truck next to him, he goes to take provocative actions towards the truck. Julia leaves to jog and Erik angrily tells Stefani that his family isn't in any danger. A chain of events causes Julia to fall into the garbage truck's disposal and the trio chase after it. Erik manages to get in front of the truck and causes the driver to stop. But it's too late. Julia's lower head and arm are crushed, killing her. Mourning Julia's death, Stefani blames herself for getting the order wrong. However, Brenda reveals that Stefani is not to blame as she had an affair that caused Erik's birth, meaning Erik was never on Death's list. Erik is confused, asking his mother who his real father is. She reveals that it is Jerry Fenbury and he storms off with Brenda following, remarking on that being the reason why Jerry always wanted to play catch. The rest of the family figure out that Bobby is next to die and that a person named "JB" at Hope River Hospital knows someone who was on Death's list and survived. They gather outside and prepare to head to the hospital. Before leaving, Erik comes out of the house and informs Darlene to get rid of her peanut butter that Bobby is allergic to. He contemplates for a moment and decides that he's coming with them to keep Bobby safe from harm.

Arriving at the hospital, Erik reassures Bobby. After he goes through the revolving doors, the family makes it to the morgue and meet "JB". He reveals himself to be William Bludworth and informs the family about his connection to Iris, being a fellow survivor that escaped The Sky View. The family asks Bludworth how they are able to get off of Death's list. He informs them that the only way is to either kill someone and take their remaining lifespan, or successfully resuscitate a person on the list, which a previous survivor has done so before. Bludworth then leaves and the family is distraught. Erik suggests killing and resuscitating Bobby to get the entire family off of Death's list, however, they are against the idea. Bobby asks Stefani if there's any other way and she tells him that it's over. Erik pulls Bobby aside and tells him that Stefani has given up on him but he's not going to. Afterwards, the two leave and Erik hatches a plan to resuscitate Bobby, then send him to the ER. Bobby is skeptical of the idea and Erik suggests that Bobby kill someone to take their life. Erik doesn't like the idea as they have no way of knowing how much time that person has left. Right next to them, they see a NICU station through a window. Erik is against it but considers and Bobby immediately turns him down.

Prompt

Right after, Erik tells Bobby that he has a plan and that it's "little nuts." They head to a vending machine and Erik tells Bobby that he'll use his deadly nut allergy to kill and resuscitate him. They pick a flavor but the machine malfunctions. Erik is frustrated and begins to rock the machine, which makes a spring come loose.
