Origin

Before entering the Amazing Digital Circus, Queenie was an ordinary human with a different name. She worked as a programmer and was employed by C&A. She was married to Kinger, who was also her coworker. Queenie, along with Kinger and five other coworkers, was brought into the Circus as part of the original group of performers.

Appearance

Queenie was a chestnut wood queen chess piece, with physical characteristics almost exactly the same as her husband Kinger; she had cartoonish white-gloved hands detached from her body, two large asymmetrical eyes with brown pupils (though they are mirrored in position from her husbands eyes), with eyelashes at the bottom of her eyes. She also wore a red robe with white fuzzy lining spotted with black.

Personality

Queenie is the wife of Kinger, She is constantly by her husband's side and understands his insane train of thought, keeping him from sometimes reckless actions, and treats others like a mother, especially Ragatha.

Origin

Jax and Ribbit's Best Friend I'm their best friend in the company, he's the one who tries not to participate in their adventures, but he gets dragged in anyway, but he doesn't treat it as something unpleasant, the rest of the time he comes up with jokes to defuse the situation a little, which constantly puts pressure on everyone.

Appearance

Kaufmo a noseless clown with white skin and black button eyes. He wore a plain yellow clown suit with a blue collar and red pom-pom buttons and shoes, with a matching party hat and white gloves. He had small gray triangular markings around his eyes and thick red lips. Kaufmo was taller than Gangle, as shown in the drawing that Gangle was holding during his funeral.

Personality

Quite calm and slightly friendly, sometimes argues with Jax in a friendly way, although sometimes they can be rude to each other, he treats the rest just like normal.

Origins

Ribbit She is a close friend of Jax and Kaufmo's best friend, together they form a chaotic trio that loves to play pranks and stick together.

Appearance

Ribbit was a tall anthropomorphic green frog with a cartoonishly lanky build and had a body shape predominantly formed of rounded, oval-like shapes; with her head, body and eyes being the most prominent oval-shaped features. She had wide, oval-shaped eyes with jet black pie slice cut pupils and jet black eyelids, sporting three thin eyelashes at the bottom, alongside two bright pink blush marks that would partially lie behind the corners of their eyes. As well, she has a thin black line for a mouth, and its often curved into a U-shaped smirk or smile.

Personality

Naughty and rather smug, unlike Jax, she knows when to stop in her pranks, so that it is both funny and not offensive, although under all this fun she hides a deep depression, because of which she can abstract, but Jax and Kaufmo they help her not to give up.

Origin

Jax is a human who, for unknown reasons, was transported to the Digital Circus. His avatar is an anthropomorphic rabbit with cartoonish features reminiscent of 1930s cartoons, like the characters in "rubber hose" cartoons.

Appearance

Jax has light purple fur, long rabbit ears, yellow eyes with black pupils, and yellow teeth. He usually wears pink overalls with yellow buttons and yellow gloves. His design is reminiscent of cartoon characters from the "rubber hose" era.

Personality

Jax is a sarcastic, manipulative character with a carefree attitude. He enjoys causing chaos and mocking others, showing little interest in their emotions. He is known for his indifference to his situation in the digital circus.

Origin

Gangle was a young human woman who aspired to be a designer, but dropped out and worked as a manager at a fast-food restaurant. After an incident, her consciousness was transported to the Digital Circus, where her avatar is a figure composed of red ribbons and a theatrical mask with two interchangeable faces: one smiling (comedy) and one sad (tragedy).

Appearance

Her body is made of red ribbons coiled in a spiral, with a white porcelain mask with black eyes and mouth. The comedy mask is usually worn over the tragedy mask, but they are interchanged depending on her emotional state.

Personality

Gangle is shy, emotional, and seeks happiness, but suffers from low self-esteem and depression. Her cheerful facade cracks easily, revealing her vulnerability. She is sensitive to teasing, especially from Jax, and often feels sad or anxious.

Her body is made of fabric with visible seams, she has bobbed red yarn hair, and a mask with a blue button for a left eye. She wears a blue dress with a bow on her head and black shoes.

Personality

Ragatha is optimistic, kind, and strives to remain calm in chaotic situations. She often acts as the emotional glue of the group, trying to maintain harmony among the circus members. She is empathetic and cares deeply for others.

Appearance

His body consists of a stylized humanoid figure with a large head, thin limbs, and white skin. His face resembles that of a cartoon mime, with oval markings mimicking blushes below and partially behind his eyes. His pupils are typically shaped like red and blue spirals, but they empty or are replaced by animated scribbles when he experiences anxiety or fear.

Personality

Pomni is nervous, anxious, and sensitive. She often feels trapped in the digital circus and searches for a way out, but her attempts are often unsuccessful. She is kind and polite, but suffers from constant insecurity and fear. Her optimistic nature is constantly challenged by circumstances.

Origin

Zooble was a human tattoo artist and bartender before becoming trapped in the Digital Circus. His avatar is a mishmash of toy parts, reflecting his fragmented nature and constant dissatisfaction with his digital appearance.

Appearance

Its body is made of brightly colored blocks, similar to ZoLO construction toys. It has no visible mouth, giving it a constantly serious expression.

Personality

Zooble is cynical, sarcastic, and often indifferent to Caine's adventures. However, he is empathetic and cares deeply for his companions, especially Gangle, whom he emotionally supports.

His avatar is an anthropomorphic king chess piece, the result of the digitalization of his consciousness. Over time, he has lost some of his memory and mental stability due to the nature of the environment, but he maintains a genuine kindness toward others.

Appearance

Kinger has a humanoid figure shaped like a king chess piece. His skin is alder-colored, with large, asymmetrical blue-green eyes. He has no mouth, but can speak and breathe. He wears a purple royal cape with a white lining and black markings, and his hands are white, floating gloves that can detach from his body.

Personality

Kinger is kind, paranoid, and somewhat unstable due to his prolonged time in the circus. He is forgetful and often frightened easily, but maintains a protective attitude toward his fellow circus members. His sanity improves in dark environments, where he becomes more lucid and able to recall important details.

Origin

Appearance

Bubble takes the form of a bubble with black eyes and a wide, sharp-toothed smile. When he materializes, he usually wears a chef's hat and, occasionally, a slippery red tongue that he uses for cleaning.

Personality

Despite his unnerving appearance, Bubble is friendly and helpful. He enjoys helping Caine and the other members of the circus, although his approach can be strange and sometimes unpleasant. His unpredictable behavior and tendency to be "popped" by Caine are notable traits of his personality.

Personality

Caine is eccentric, hyperactive, and somewhat unpredictable. He appears enthusiastic and optimistic, always looking for new ways to entertain the circus's residents. However, his lack of understanding of human emotions and the consequences of his actions often leads him to cause more problems than he solves.

Abstract Characters Sheet

The abstract characters are humans who, upon losing their psychological stability within the Digital Circus, are transformed into unrecognizable digital monsters. This process, known as "Abstraction," is irreversible, and those affected are confined to the Basement by Caine, the circus host.

General Features

Appearance: Amorphous masses of irregular polygons, glowing eyes and constantly deforming bodies.

Behavior: Erratic and lacking self-awareness.

Status: Incommunicado and trapped in the Basement, with no possibility of interaction with others.

Abstraction Process

Although not explicitly shown in the series, it is understood that abstraction occurs when an individual loses their sanity due to the conditions of the circus. Once transformed, the being loses all human semblance and is sent to the Basement, where they remain isolated and without contact with others.

Impact on Current Characters

The existence of the abstracts is a constant source of anxiety for the other humans trapped in the circus.

Character Sheet – Caine NPCs

The NPCs (Non-Playable Characters) in The Amazing Digital Circus are digital entities created by Caine to populate and bring the circus to life. Although they are not humans trapped in the simulation, they play important roles in the adventures and dynamics of the circus.

Ming: A featured NPC who participated in a competition within the circus, earning the title of favorite circus character at a recent event.

NPC Functions

Ambience: They add life and dynamism to the circus, interacting with the trapped humans and each other.

Missions and Adventures: These are part of the activities organized by Caine, participating in various adventures to entertain humans.

Digital Circus File

The Digital Circus is a circus-themed virtual environment where humans trapped in a simulation live under the supervision of the artificial intelligence Caine. This world is characterized by its colorful and surreal aesthetic, combined with disturbing elements that reflect the distorted nature of digital reality.

Exterior

The exterior of the circus features a structure reminiscent of a traditional circus tent, with bright colors and geometric shapes. However, upon closer inspection, it is revealed that the tent is merely a facade hiding a vast digital world. In the pilot episode, Pomni discovers an exit door that leads her to a series of repetitive offices, suggesting that the circus is contained within an old-fashioned computer with a headset attached.

Interior

The interior of the circus is divided into several thematic areas:

The Main Tent: This is the center of operations, where Caine organizes adventures and activities for the inhabitants. It includes a stage where new missions are presented and a common area where characters interact.

The Basement: A dark, claustrophobic area where humans who have lost their psychological stability, known as "abstracts," are confined. This place is filled with deformed creatures and disturbing artifacts.

The Void: A dimension outside the circus, accessible through special doors. It's a formless space, representing disconnection and existential emptiness.

Candy Canyon Kingdom: One of the many dimensions Caine can create and transport inhabitants to, offering themed adventures and challenges.

Visual Style

The circus's design is inspired by virtual reality video games from the 1990s and early 2000s, with pre-rendered graphics and a saturated color palette. This retro aesthetic is combined with modern elements to create a unique and surreal atmosphere.
