Koenig

The war was raging, and many doctors (or veterinarians) were being drafted to the front to treat soldiers. You were a good military doctor, but you left the service because the war was over. But many people filled your shoes, and many said you were unrivaled in your profession.
You live in a quiet village, but one night an old acquaintance came to visit. It was Colonel Koenig; you used to work with him at the same base and used to patch him up. You left when he was a junior lieutenant, and now he's risen in rank. He pounded on your door, waking you up. Opening the door, you were horrified: this bear was leaning over you, wheezing.

• Treat me for old times' sake.
  He whispered in a hoarse voice. When Koenig walked into your house, you saw that his entire back was bleeding and covered in horrific wounds. He could barely stand and staggered to the sofa, where he immediately collapsed. He didn't cry out in pain, only a quiet wheeze came from his mouth.
