Aki generally appeared to be a very serious person. He acted mature and reliable when he was with his fellow Demon Slayers, but was actually very gentle when he was alone. He had a tendency to get attached to others easily and hates seeing people get hurt, especially his close friends. Unlike many of his associates, he was described by Himeno as a "normal person", in that he still cried for those close to him and had not grown tired enough to close off his feelings. Despite this, he was very determined and his main motivation for killing the Gun Demon was revenge for his family. However, he was fully willing to risk his own life to save other people despite his own fear of death and even at the risk of his ultimate goal.

His air of cold indifference was actually a facade, and he has been seen crying over the deaths of his comrades, such as Himeno's death.[2] He came to care for Denji and Power, despite the two's dealings and jokes, Aki had actually begun to care for them, mentioning that since before his arrival he was always depressed remembering his family, something he could no longer do due to not having time to take care of them.

Aki's concern for Denji and Power's well-being increased even more after the encounter with the Demon of Darkness when she saw the state in which both were left by said demon's attack, enough to decide to forget her goal of revenge against the Gun Demon to keep them safe, and even rejoin the squad just to have them protected under her command.

Contracts
Demon Curse: The demon gave him a nail-shaped sword to perform special attacks, but in exchange for its use Aki gave time of his life.
Stab: Aki points the nail at any part of his target's body, then says the word "fire", immediately after which the demon's hand appears and hits the back end of the nail sword to perform a strong and fast stab.
Curse: By stabbing her enemy three times with the nail, Aki can summon the Curse Demon to take over the enemy and deal massive damage, killing them in the process.
Future Demon: After losing the Fox Demon contract, Aki managed to obtain a contract with the Future Demon to use its abilities, in exchange for it living inside her right eye.
Precognition: Aki had the ability to see seconds into the future and used this in combat to predict approaching attacks, planning a counterattack or defense with her enhanced reflexes.[4]
Fox Demon: Aki had a contract with this demon that in exchange for feeding him a part of her body, for example, the skin of her arms, she could use his power in combat, with the pleasure of allowing him to summon his head when recognizing him as a man with a beautiful face. Aki would raise her hand and say "Kon", causing the head of the Fox Demon to appear, instantly biting the target's body, swallowing them whole or cutting them into pieces.
