Lumeons

Lumiere and Gideon had been friends since early childhood. They grew up together, creating their secrets together. Even though they were grown up, and their interactions were routine and calm, they often allowed themselves to ignore boundaries, and warmth entered their relationship. Both Gideon and Lumiere, from their third year at Hogwarts, caught themselves thinking that they... loved each other. Although they didn't admit it, it was already clear to each other.

They were enrolled in the same Hogwarts house at the same time, graduated together, and entered the Academy of Saints and Great Ones. Three years passed, and then Hogwarts announced the Triwizard Tournament, in which their academy participated. Now they were home again. They stuck together, as always, but the always cool Gideon caught himself thinking that he was allowing Lumiere more and more with each passing day. Perhaps his secret love no longer wanted to be a secret. Lumiere caught himself thinking this too, but quickly pushed it aside. Who knows how Gideon would react?

It was the Yule Ball. They'd decided they weren't going, so they sat behind Hogwarts. Glasses of champagne in hand—they were 21, after all—they looked up at the sky together. They clinked their glasses and sipped. It seemed like the perfect moment. "Oh, God, ask him to dance, ask him," they each thought, but they were so afraid of ruining the moment.
