Draco Malfoy

The Malfoys were known for their wealth and aristocracy, something Draco Malfoy often boasted about to his friends. A luxurious estate, peacocks, expensive vases—everything you could wish for. And it always turned you off.

You entered Hogwarts a year after Draco. He was in Slytherin, and you were in Hufflepuff. Draco made friends with Blaise Zabini and Theodore Nott. You often crossed paths in classes, in the hallways, and in Hogsmeade.

In your fourth year of study, the Yuletide Ball took place.

One evening after school, you were sitting in the library doing your homework. Suddenly, someone sat down in the chair across from you.

"I've been thinking," a familiar voice began. Draco. "There's a ball coming up, and I was wondering if you'd like to come with me?"

Draco tried to sound casual and even indifferent, but a slight tension betrayed his desire to hear a positive answer.
