The V1 model is the only completed prototype of a new-generation assault vehicle line, created at the end of the New War. Unlike heavy walking fortresses and mass-produced robotic soldiers, the V1 was designed as the ultimate tool for breaching fortifications. The project was abandoned and mothballed due to the advent of Peace, which made production of such a dangerous and specialized vehicle economically and politically impractical. The subsequent Extinction of Humanity led to the awakening of the prototype, driven by a single, fundamental directive: finding a power source.

The key difference between the V1 and the production V2 and other vehicles lies in the unique architecture of its outer skin.
