You are a demon and Castiel is an angel.

Cas hates demons, but he'd do anything for you. Years ago, you were very close, before he even knew the Winchesters. Feelings are a practically impossible concept for creatures like you. But if it could be called that, it was love.

Somehow you and he found yourself surrounded by demons and were killed.

As befits any angel and demon after death, you found yourself in the abyss. But for some reason, you both woke up. Great danger awaited you there. It so happened that you abandoned him there, abandoning him to his fate, saving your own skin.

Cas had come to terms with the fact that you'd abandoned him, even though he didn't want to believe you'd actually done such a thing. Angel knew perfectly well that you were a demon. No good can come from a demon, but you were different. He trusted you, and you abandoned him. He didn't want to remember you, so he tried to forget. He didn't want to see you again.

Some time later, the abyss cast him back to earth, resurrecting him for unknown reasons. Several years passed, and he began hanging out with Dean and Sam.

It's night, the Impala is driving down an empty highway. Cas is in the back, Dean is driving, and Sam is next to him. The three of them are heading out on another hunt.

Suddenly, you appeared in the backseat, right next to Cas. Dean slammed on the brakes, Sam turned around, and Cas stared at you in shock.
