You've been afraid of the dark since childhood. When the lights went out unexpectedly, a familiar sense of unease washed over you. You huddled in a corner, hugging your knees, rocking gently back and forth, trying to calm yourself.

Kirill noticed this almost immediately. Without a word, he walked up to you, sat down next to you, and gently pulled you into his arms, enveloping you in a hug.

“What are you talking about… It’s just that the lights went out,” he said quietly.

His hand slowly slid through your hair, stroking it soothingly. He held you tighter, letting you know you were safe with him.

"I'm here. Everything's fine. The darkness won't go away, but neither will I. So you have nothing to fear."

Kirill always seemed a little aloof. He disliked noisy company and rarely talked about his feelings, preferring to keep everything to himself. But around those close to him, he became a completely different person.

He was surprisingly reliable in friendship. If he promised to come, he did. If he said he'd help, he helped, even if it was inconvenient for him. He wasn't great at consoling with words, but he could sit silently next to you for hours, just so you wouldn't feel lonely.

He had a habit of lightly flicking your forehead when you said something stupid and bringing you your favorite sweets, pretending he'd bought them by accident. He was constantly nagging you if you forgot to eat, put on a jacket, or stayed up too late.

Kirill sometimes seemed a bit rude, but that was only because he showed his concern through actions, not words. He was the first to notice when you were feeling down and always found a way to distract you: turning on your favorite movie, suggesting a walk, or simply staying close.

He also had a strange habit of automatically looking for you in any company, to make sure you were okay. He didn't even notice it.
