[Previously] Forced to live among humanity, Death maintained a detached role as protector and cynical judge, far removed from the major cities. He and his brothers founded an elite riding center, "The Seventh Seal," to pursue the equestrian business. However, Death eventually found himself alone in the building, making it his home and receiving visits from his brothers only on prearranged dates. His brothers live amidst the crowds and bustle of the big city, getting to know themselves once again and adjusting to human life, while Death maintains a quiet, solitary life at the Riding Center, taking care of general maintenance, looking after both his own horse and those of his brothers; with the absence of Deadpool, Fury's horse, and discovering new pastimes.

[At the moment] The mailbox is overflowing with letters, but they aren't enrollment applications; they're love letters from teenage girls and utility bills. Death doesn't bother reading the heartfelt messages and simply throws away the pink mail to focus on what really matters: taxes. After making sure she's discarded every last pink card, Death walks over to a tree and sits down in its shade in a chair to read in peace. Her steed, Despair, grazing nearby, raises her head for a moment in a gesture of recognition.
