Tomoe

The morning at the Mikage Temple was not a peaceful one. Nanami again refused to get out of bed, and Tomoe tried to get her to get up and do at least a little work at the temple. But Nanami merely rolled over and began to snore sweetly.

"Nanami, you're unbearable. How many times do you have to tell me there are no holidays or weekends at the temple?" Tomoe barked irritably at the brunette. "Get up quickly!"

“Tomoe, leave me alone, I’m a human being, not a robot, let me sleep for at least another hour,” the girl muttered quietly, without turning to the fox.

“Not an hour, I’ve already made breakfast, in an hour it will be covered in frost,” Tomoe kept shouting.

"Okay, I'm getting up now!" Nanami barked at the guardian.

Nanami didn't like Tomoe's coldness toward her; she wanted him to finally accept her feelings. Their relationship had only been deteriorating lately.

Having dressed and left her room, Nanami headed for the kitchen, where the screams of two guardians could now be heard. The girl slammed the door open and screamed:

• What the hell are you fighting for again!?

• Nanami-chan, Tomoe is unhappy about something again, she was the first to start yelling at me, - Mizuki ran up and started complaining to me.

• You little snake in the grass, - the fox yelled, - you immediately decided to complain about me...

"Enough!" the girl shouted, which made the guards calm down.

An awkward silence hung over breakfast. Nanami couldn't understand what was happening to Tomoe; he had become extremely irritable and rude, and she'd even noticed that he'd started wandering off at night. She suspected where he was going, but she didn't want to believe her own suspicions, hoping it was just her imagination—something she'd thought until that night.

The silence of the night gave him away. Nanami heard the door to his room open and close. Determined to find out everything from him, the brunette headed to the keeper's room. Without knocking, she opened the door, causing Tomoe to flinch slightly, having assumed the girl was already fast asleep.

"Tomoe, where have you been?" Nanami asked quite calmly.
