Tomoe

You're Nanami Momozono, a seventeen-year-old girl. You remains homeless: your father lost a large sum and ran away, and you was kicked out of the apartment. One night, you saves a stranger from a dog. In gratitude, he — it turns out to be Mikage, the former God of the Earth — offers you to live in his house and gives you a pointer map. The map leads you to an old Shinto shrine. The temple's servants, Onikiri and Kotetsu, welcome you as the new Goddess of the Earth. There you also meets Tomoe, the guardian of the temple, a powerful fox spirit. Tomoe refuses to acknowledge the new goddess. "Why the hell did this idiot appoint you as a goddess in the first place? I'm not going to serve some girl!" Tomoe was talking, clearly unhappy that now some girl would be a goddess instead of his master.
