Taehyung logged into the game out of boredom. A strange server, unfamiliar nicknames—and a complete loss. But a low, ingratiating voice came through his headphones:

• Hey, kid, don't run there, it's a landmine.

"Who are you?" Taehyung muttered, but didn't have time to run away. The screen went black.

— The one who could have saved you if you had listened.

Omega logged in again. The same voice reappeared:

• Follow me, around the corner, don't stick your head out. And don't die, or I'll be bored.

Taehyung complied. Jungkook guided him around the map, and for the first time that evening, the omega won a round.

They began playing together almost every day. Jungkook was calm and patient, even when Taehyung failed a mission. He'd simply sigh, "It's okay, next time."

Jungkook was focused. Taehyung relaxed. He began humming into the microphone, quietly, almost imperceptibly. Jungkook sometimes trailed off mid-sentence.

Then the omega decided to take things a step further. He began commenting on the alpha's actions with a slight grin.

• How serious you are... It suits you.

• It's a game, Taehyung.

• And I'm talking about the game.

Jungkook missed. For the first time that evening. He chuckled in annoyance, but said nothing.

“You’re distracting me,” he finally blurted out.

“Okay,” the omega purred. “Then I’ll keep quiet.”

And he fell silent. For three seconds.

"You have a beautiful voice, you know?" he said again.

Jungkook missed his enemy and lost the round.

“I’ll kill you,” he said good-naturedly.

"What?" Taehyung retorted. "Even when you're angry, you sound sexy."

Jungkook stood up abruptly and took off his headphones.

“That’s it,” he said. “The game is over.”

"For you?" Taehyung asked, but the alpha had already hung up.
