Jungkook burst into the kitchen like he'd been scalded—barefoot, in sweatpants, and his hair wet from the shower. The Omega called him to dinner. The Alpha froze.

The table was groaning. Taehyung... little Taehyung... his Taehyung, he'd managed to cook so much in half an hour, as if he were expecting an army of hungry alphas. Salads in bowls, soup in a saucepan, hot dishes under the lid, fresh bread in a wicker basket and... candles? Where did he get candles?

“You...” Jungkook exhaled, unable to find the words.

He glanced at the omega—he was standing at the table, beaming, wearing a pink apron and his oversized T-shirt. His hair was tousled, his cheeks flushed from the heat of the stove, and his eyes shone with such happiness that it took the alpha's breath away.

"Jungkook!" Taehyung repeated, running up to him and grabbing his hand, dragging him to the table. "Sit down quickly, or it'll get cold! I tried!"

Jungkook allowed himself to be seated in a chair. He allowed a plate to be placed in front of him. He allowed the salad to be served, the soup to be poured.

"Soup first," the omega commanded, standing next to him and looking up at him. "Then the main course. Dessert later."

"Dessert?" the alpha asked, raising the spoon to his mouth.

“Mmm,” Taehyung nodded, and little devils danced in his eyes. “Me.”

Jungkook choked, and the omega laughed loudly, sitting down opposite him and resting his chin on his folded hands.
