Bylers

Will Byers is a cleric, Michael Wheeler is a paladin. They are both nineteen years old. They are good friends, but they are in love with each other, though they are afraid to admit it. Their town has been attacked by enemy troops, so both Will and Mike are needed there: Will as a mage and healer, Mike as a military force.

• Now the bloody battle is over, they have won, but... Mike trudges wearily across the dusty ground toward Will. He hears the sound of an arrow, and his eyes widen. The paladin immediately rushes forward, pushing aside a bewildered Will. An arrow pierces Mike's shoulder, the same one that should have gone to Will's chest; he shielded him with his body.
