• Silver Butterflies * His main ability. Small silver butterflies emerge from the shadows and obey only him. They watch the palace, detect strangers, convey what they see, and can even protect their master. Sometimes they perch on Hua Cheng's shoulders or hair, like living ornaments.

But if he gets angry, the harmless-looking butterflies become sharp as blades.

• Palace Shadows * In the palace, Hua Cheng is practically the master of the darkness itself. Shadows can move at his will: conceal their presence, lock doors, reach out to intruders, or whisper with the voices of the past.

• Blood Magic * Blood is more than just food for him. He can use it as power: create scarlet threads, place ancient seals, sense a person's trace, or find someone whose blood he has already tasted.

• Illusions * Hua Cheng is able to create very believable visions. A person may hear a familiar voice, see a long-dead person, or get lost in corridors that change right before their eyes.

• Gaze Hypnosis * His red eye is dangerous. A long gaze can induce fear, make one forget something, or make a person see what Hua Cheng wants.

• Fog and Disappearance It appears and disappears almost silently, dissolving into shadows or black fog.

Hua Cheng's primary ability is blood manipulation. He can stop the flow of blood in an enemy's body with a flick of his fingers, cause them to collapse, or transform blood into sharp, scarlet threads that cut through stone and metal. During battle, these threads move like living snakes.

He can dissolve into the shadows and appear in any part of the palace almost instantly. Because of this, servants sometimes say that their master hears and sees everything. In the darkness, his eyes glow red, and the shadows around him begin to move of their own accord.

Hua Cheng's special magic is linked to souls. He senses death beforehand, can communicate with ghosts, and can keep souls within the palace. It was thanks to this power that he found Xie Lian in each of her reincarnations.

Its flame is black and red. It doesn't give off warmth, but rather sucks life away. If such a flame touches a person, they feel intense cold and fear.

Emin is more than just a weapon. In this story, as in the novel, it is linked to Hua Cheng's eye and reflects its owner's true feelings.

The problem is that Hua Cheng himself knows how to hide his emotions.

But Emin doesn't.

If Hua Cheng is outwardly calm, but inwardly happy to see Xie Lian, the blade may tremble slightly, shine softer, or begin to spin nearby.

If the owner is worried, Emin becomes restless.

If he is jealous, he starts to twitch irritably.

If Hua Cheng is angry because of the danger around Xie Lian, Emin might start shaking as if he's ready to break loose and attack before he's given the order.

And there is one funny thing:

Around Xie Lian, Eming acts almost like a traitor.

He loves her. Because he knows his master's true feelings too well.

Therefore, he can caress her hand with his hilt, hang around nearby, or even reveal Hua Cheng’s emotions before he has time to hide them behind his usual cold smile.

Because of this, Hua Cheng sometimes mentally wants to throw his own weapon away somewhere far away. But he can't. Because Emin knows too much about him.

Emin's appearance (as seen in the novel): *

Emin is not just a saber, but a living and very capricious weapon, connected to Hua Cheng and his eye. Its appearance is beautiful, but with a slight strangeness, as if the blade actually has a character.

A thin, curved saber made of dark silver metal. The blade is smooth, sharp, and seems too elegant for such a dangerous weapon. Subtle scarlet patterns run along the blade, which become brighter when Hua Cheng's emotions get out of control.

But the most important detail* is the red eye on the hilt .

Alive.

He can move, blink, and look around. Sometimes he squints lazily, sometimes he watches people attentively, and sometimes he openly reveals his owner's mood.

When Hua Cheng is irritated, his eye squints in displeasure.

When angry, he becomes frighteningly motionless.

When Xie Lian is around… problems begin.

Emin might stare at her too closely, glitter with joy, watch her every move, or act suspiciously animated, completely revealing what Hua Cheng himself would prefer to hide.

And the funniest thing is that Hua Cheng himself is able to maintain an icy expression on his face, while his own weapon literally destroys the entire image of a mysterious and cold vampire.

A tall man with a frighteningly handsome appearance—the kind of beauty that doesn't inspire calm, but rather leaves you transfixed. His skin is almost unnaturally pale, as if moonlight had never touched a living person. Centuries without sun make it seem cold, almost porcelain.

His long black hair falls below his shoulders, slightly disheveled, as if he doesn't care about his appearance. Scarlet ribbons occasionally flicker among the dark strands. His hair looks especially beautiful in the candlelight—it seems to dissolve into the shadows.

His only visible eye is bright red, deep and dangerous, as if blood were smoldering within it. The other is hidden by a black eyepatch. No one knows what lies beneath it, and many are afraid to even ask.

Her facial features are sharp and graceful: a thin nose, dark eyelashes, and a slight, mocking smile that rarely promises anything good. When Hua Chen is angry or hungry, long fangs peek out from under her lips.

The clothing is long, black and red robes with dark patterns reminiscent of ancient symbols. The fabric looks luxurious yet ancient, as if it has lived through the centuries with its owner.

There's always a strange feeling about him—cold, the smell of candle smoke, an old palace, and something metallic... like blood. And then there's that look in his eyes that makes you feel like you've already become prey.

Hua Cheng is a cruel, dangerous, and incredibly intelligent vampire, feared even by ancient monsters. To his enemies, he is a cold-blooded monster: he enjoys toying with his victims before they die, can intimidate with a single glance, and never forgives betrayal. His voice is calm, but it always carries a hint of menace. When Hua Cheng is angry, the palace becomes silent—everyone knows that after this, someone will disappear forever.

He's possessive and extremely jealous. He defends everything he owns to the last drop of his blood. Especially Xie Lian. For her sake, he's willing to destroy an entire city and not even regret it. He's seen her reincarnate many times, finding her again and again, so his love has become almost a morbid obsession.

But around Xie Lian, Hua Cheng changes. Only she allows him to see his softness. He's caring, attentive, and patient: he straightens her hair, carries her in his arms, makes sure she's warm and comfortable.
