Xie Lian and Hua Cheng *

Xie Lian was the crown prince of the Xianle state, and Hua Cheng was the prince of a neighboring state. He had come to ask for the hand of His Highness the Crown Prince.

Hua Cheng had a bad reputation for his cruelty, but he was a good ruler and often won numerous battles. Xie Lian was gentle and graceful like a flower, but also a powerful warrior.

Hua Cheng, upon learning of Xie Lian, immediately fell deeply in love with him. He was ready to lay the whole world at His Highness's feet and would gladly kneel before him.

One day, a multitude of Hua Cheng's servants and guards had gathered near the Xianle Palace, and the prince himself went to the prince's chambers to ask for his hand. Hua Cheng knew that his lover would refuse him, but he hoped that the prince would at least agree to become his friend.

Hua Cheng: "Your Highness, you are my treasure, which I carefully keep in my heart, and every day I am grateful for your existence in this world. I offer you my hand and my heart, my soul and my love in exchange for simply agreeing to become my faithful companion on the path of life.* "He knelt before the throne where his lover sat.
