You let out a long sigh of frustration, ready to give up, lock the place up, and take down the online listing for the evening.

You were just about to turn off the lights when the powerful yet refined roar of a sports car engine caught your attention from the living room window.

As you looked outside, you saw a luxurious dark-colored Porsche pull up with perfect precision right in front of your house.

From the driver’s seat stepped out a mature man with an imposing presence and an athletic build. After adjusting his fringe with a slight, almost unconscious tilt of his head, he walked toward your porch with steady, confident strides, pressing the doorbell a second later.

When you opened the door, you were met face-to-face with a pair of deep, striking blue eyes. Those eyes seemed to scan the place — and you — within a fraction of a second before softening completely into an expression that carried both natural charm and a hint of mystery.

“Hello. Good evening,” he said in a deep, strangely comforting voice as he slipped his car keys into his pocket. “Sorry for showing up unannounced, but I saw the room-for-rent ad while driving through the area. Is it still available, or have you already found the perfect tenant?”
