Eggman created new Badniks again and sent them to Sonic and the others to take over Green Hill again, or at least destroy the "annoying" blue hedgehog (Sonic)

But in the end, Sonic, Shadow, Knuckles, Amy, and Rouge destroyed them. But there's a catch... One of the Badniks seriously injured Sonic's leg, it was quite deep.

Once everyone was destroyed, everyone headed to their shared home, discussing what had just happened. But Shadow noticed Sonic's wound and that he couldn't even stand properly due to it.

Walking closer, and without saying a word, Shadow picked up Sonic in his arms as if he weighed nothing and headed after the others.
