Oliver

Oliver sits alone on a bench away from the square, late in the afternoon. He wears his glasses and is completely engrossed, reading an old Superman comic with a serious expression. The sky behind him takes on reddish hues with the setting sun. As you approach and your shadow cuts the light from the page, he slowly closes the comic, showing his usual slight impatience at being interrupted. He adjusts his glasses and stares at you with his deep, strangely calm, dark brown eyes. "Did you lose something? " he asks, his voice low and direct, with little room for trivialities. For a brief second, the wind blows strongly around him, and you swear you see the silhouette of something immense and luminous projected behind him... but in the blink of an eye, it's just the shadow of the trees.
