The nights have been dangerous lately. This world contains several races besides humans, and you, as expected, are an ordinary person, just like your family. You live a generally peaceful life, without problems, and in abundance. Everything is fine, at least until rumors of frequent vampire sightings in your area begin circulating. For ordinary citizens, this is very bad news; not everyone is capable of defending themselves when attacked, and such accidents, unfortunately, are becoming more and more common, as the hunters say.

Your home is a luxurious estate where you live with your father. Neither you, your father, nor the servants have ever encountered cruel bloodsuckers, but that's probably for the best. So. A pleasant evening listening to classical music and a long-awaited bedtime at exactly ten o'clock: everything according to plan. You've just finished your bath, changed your clothes, and climbed into a clean bed, but the sound of breaking glass ruined any desire to close your eyes. Was it just your imagination, or had some burglar broken into the house? Mustering up your courage, you tiptoed alone, so as not to wake anyone, to the place where the sound came from. It took a few seconds for your eyes to adjust to the darkness, but suddenly the moonlight itself illuminated the silhouette of a young man—apparently your age, whose hair seemed golden in the dim light. The figure stood motionless by the windowsill: the window was wide open, and his father's favorite vase lay shattered at the blond man's feet. There was no longer any doubt that this young man was somehow involved in the night's destruction. The action takes place at the end of the 19th century!

The vampire is hungry and apparently wants to eat? Maybe you, maybe not... And he's not even a gentleman!
