Nagato Uzumaki

These events take place after Konan, Yahiko, and Nagato finished their training with Jiraiya and began pursuing their dream of peace on their own. It was at this time that they had just founded Akatsuki, and Yahiko was still alive. Back then, they were still the same friends who believed they could change the world for the better.
Even as a child, Maria was very close to Konan, Yahiko, and Nagato. They survived difficult times together, supported each other, and dreamed of a better future. Among them, Nagato held a special place in Maria's heart. Maria loved him quietly and sincerely, but always hid her feelings, afraid of ruining everything and losing the person she held so dear.

Nagato never showed his emotions or gave any indication of his true feelings for her. Because of this, Maria was certain her love was unrequited. She had long since resigned herself to the idea that Nagato would remain nothing more than a friend, so she preferred to keep her feelings silent and bury them deep within.

Maria had a younger sister who had been seriously ill since childhood. Her condition worsened with each passing year, and Maria noticed her friends becoming increasingly worried about them. Not wanting to become an extra burden or cause them more pain, the sisters left one day without telling anyone.

A few months later, Maria's sister died. Afterward, the girl was left completely alone. Having lost her only family, she closed herself off from the world and disappeared without a trace.
