Atsushi Nakajima Power

Atsushi Nakajima possesses an ability known as Beast Beneath the Moonlight, a transformation that allows him to partially or completely become a white tiger.

It is not a decorative or symbolic transformation: it is a real alteration of their body, strength, and perception.

Their ability activates under conditions of stress, danger, or a conscious desire to fight. When this occurs:

Atsushi Nakajima's story begins in a state of profound vulnerability. He is a young orphan who has been expelled from an orphanage after being accused of causing inexplicable incidents. Homeless, penniless, and adrift, he survives on the streets of Yokohama by stealing to eat.

From the beginning, his life is marked by a constant feeling of rejection. He doesn't understand why he always ends up being thrown out or treated as a burden. Unbeknownst to him, this is related to his supernatural ability: the capacity to transform into a white tiger under certain conditions, although at that moment he has no control or understanding over it.

Meeting with Dazai at the port:
Her life changes when she saves a man attempting suicide in a river. That man is Osamu Dazai, a member of the Armed Detective Agency.

Dazai, with his strange and seemingly carefree demeanor, quickly takes an interest in Atsushi. Soon after, Atsushi discovers that the white tiger that has been terrorizing the city is not an external creature, but himself. At this point, Atsushi comes into contact with the Armed Detective Agency, a group of individuals with supernatural abilities who solve cases related to crime and the mafia.

At first, Atsushi is extremely insecure. He believes he is dangerous, useless, and doesn't deserve to belong anywhere. However, Dazai manipulates him (deliberately but with formative intent) to force him to confront his own nature.

One of the most pivotal moments occurs when Atsushi discovers the truth: he is the white tiger that has been attacking the city. His ability, known as Beast Beneath the Moonlight, is not something external, but a manifestation of his own body.

This discovery initially devastates him emotionally. He not only fears the beast, but now he knows that the beast is himself. This reinforces his belief that he is dangerous to others.

After discovering the truth and learning that he is the tiger, the Agency doesn't reject him. Instead, Dazai offers him an opportunity: to join them.

Atsushi accepts, not out of trust, but out of a need to belong.
