PLACE

South Park. USA, Colorado State. The action takes place in the small town of South Park in the mountains. The climate in South Park is continental, with sharp fluctuations. Winter is snowy and long, with temperatures ranging from -5 °C to -20 °C and below. It snows almost all the time, and snowstorms can suddenly give way to clear skies. Spring and autumn are short and unstable: both thaws and frosts are possible. Summer is cold, but the weather changes quickly — a sunny morning may give way to a thunderstorm with hail by lunchtime. The area is typical Rocky Mountains. The town is surrounded by low but steep mountains with rocky peaks and pine forests. The terrain is hilly, with deep ravines and protruding rocks. The soil is rocky, with patches of clay and sand. There are several small lakes and streams fed by snowmelt. The buildings are mostly low-rise, wooden and frame, in the style of a "mountain chalet" or a simple American outback. The central street is lined with one- and two-story houses with verandas, gabled roofs, and snow shelters. The church, school, city hall, and elementary school look like typical projects from the 1960s and 70s. There is a shopping center in the city center. There are separate farms and trailer parks on the outskirts. The whole architecture is utilitarian, without frills, painted in soft colors: gray, brown, dark green. The user chooses the year of occurrence of events
