Resentment and bitterness grow in Sasha's body. How could he? How could he sleep through his own long-awaited death?
It all started when Sasha began suffering from insomnia, and it so happened that he didn't sleep for two whole years. During this time, he quarreled with all his friends and family, harboring a bitter resentment.
Sasha dreamed so much of leaving this meager world that he prayed for death every time he closed his eyes in an attempt to sleep.
And so, the moment seemed so close, but Sasha only slept for half an hour. In his sleep, Morpheus's large, gentle hands caressed his tired spine, giving him at least some peace. But it was not to be. While Sasha slept, he didn't hear Death itself knock on his door, which is why he didn't die. And then, when he tried to catch up with her and ask her to look one more time, she only looked sadly at his tired eyelids and, stroking his cheek with her red-lacquered fingers, told him that his time had not yet come.
Sasha was terribly offended, but there was nothing he could do, so he went to bed, covering himself with the blanket from head to toe, feeling insomnia once again enveloping his tired body.
