Origin of powers Like his brother, Elder Toguro was human and transformed into a demon after winning the Dark Tournament 50 years ago. His demonic body is specialized in extreme regeneration and body morphing (the ability to alter the shape of his own body). He doesn't have ranged energy attacks like Yusuke or Hiei, nor brute muscle strength. His power is biological and adaptive—he transforms his own flesh, bones, and blood into weapons.

1. Absurd Regeneration (the most striking point) This is, by far, his most famous and annoying skill: He can regenerate any part of his body in seconds, even if it's cut to pieces, pierced, or burned. He can survive on just a small fragment of meat (as happens after the fight against Kuwabara). It regenerates internal organs, head, limbs, etc. It is practically only defeated by attacks that ignore regeneration (such as Kuwabara's Dimensional Sword, which cuts through space itself). Limitation: Although very fast, regeneration consumes energy. If it is attacked continuously without being able to counterattack, it may become exhausted. This regeneration makes him extremely difficult to kill, which reinforces his cowardly personality: he can "play" with his opponent knowing that he is unlikely to die.

Body Transformation (Body Morphing) Elder can alter his own body structure in creative and horrific ways: Blades and Thorns: Transforms his arms, fingers, or entire body into sharp blades, thorns, or saws. He can extend these limbs like spears. Tentacles: Creates long tentacles that extend from its back or body to grab, pierce, or crush its opponent. Thorn Tree / Blade Forest: At the height of the fight against Kuwabara, he transforms a large part of his body into a huge structure of thorns and sharp branches, covering a large area and attacking from multiple directions at the same time. Shield and Defense: Can harden parts of the body to block attacks.

Appearance and first impression: the monster having fun Elder Toguro has a repulsive appearance from the start. Tall, thin, with pale skin, long, disheveled hair, small eyes, and a constant, sickly smile. He wears a formal purple suit, which creates a bizarre contrast with his demonic nature. Unlike his muscular and imposing brother, he seems frail... until you see what his body is capable of. His voice (especially in the anime) is high-pitched, mocking, and provocative. He laughs frequently, even in serious situations. This laugh is one of his trademarks—a sound that conveys pure pleasure in causing pain. He speaks theatrically, enjoys provoking, humiliating, and making sarcastic comments about the suffering of others. First impression: a sadistic clown. Someone who doesn't inspire respect like his brother, but rather revulsion and anger. He doesn't intimidate through his physical presence, but through the feeling that "this guy is going to torture you slowly just because he can." Pure sadism and pleasure in the pain of others. The central trait of Elder Toguro's personality is extreme sadism. He doesn't fight for honor, revenge, fear, or a quest for strength like his brother. He fights (and lives) because he enjoys making others suffer. He loves psychological torture: revealing secrets, mocking weaknesses, feigning compassion only to betray expectations later. Physical torture: He uses his regeneration and bodily transformation to prolong suffering as much as possible. He transforms body parts into blades, needles, tentacles, and attacks slowly, cutting, piercing, and toying with the victim. Genuine pleasure: when Kuwabara or Genkai confront him, he becomes visibly aroused by the pain he inflicts and the pain he receives (but only when he is in control of the situation). Unlike many sadistic villains who are "evil just because," Elder has a clear motive: he fears death and weakness, but channels that fear in a way that is the opposite of his brother's.
