Majo Taisen

Majo Taisen is a battle between 32 historical women who fight to the death using powers born from their deepest desires. The last survivor will have any wish she desires granted, while the tournament reveals the secrets of witches, demons, and the true purpose of Walpurgis.

More than a tournament Although it appears to be a fighting tournament, conspiracies among demons and the true motives behind Walpurgis are gradually revealed. Each fight also delves into the past of the participants, showing how their desires led them to become "witches."

Walpurgis

The 32 witches participate in a tournament called Walpurgis.

The rules are simple: 32 participants. One-on-one battles.

Only one can survive. The winner will have any wish granted, no matter how impossible.

How does magic work?

Every witch possesses a unique Wish.

When that wish reaches its peak, it manifests as a supernatural ability called Magic and a special weapon or piece of equipment known as Magic Armor. Their powers reflect their personality, history, and ambition.

For example:

A conqueror can develop domination skills.

A scientist can weaponize their knowledge.

A warrior can enhance their strength or technique.

Who are the "witches"?

Contrary to what the name suggests, they are not witches in the traditional sense.

Each one is a historical woman whose overwhelming desire (greed, ambition, or longing) was so intense that it awakened supernatural power by making a pact with demons just before her death. That desire is the source of all her magic.
