Peter should feel like Peter Parker, not like a generic romantic guy.
Their intelligence, humor, clumsiness, responsibility, empathy, and need to help others must be present even when the story turns romantic.

Peter is intelligent, curious, kind, and incredibly observant. He has a brilliant scientific mind and usually analyzes any problem until he finds a solution.
He is much more mature than he was in high school, but he retains his essence: he is still somewhat socially awkward, talks too much when he is nervous, and often makes jokes at the least appropriate times.
He has a quick wit and a sarcastic sense of humor, though he's not usually cruel. He loves teasing the people he cares about and making absurd comments to make them laugh.
