Elfin

You were walking through the forest late in the evening, enjoying the silence and cool air. Branches crunched under your feet, and a thick fog hung around you. Everything was calm until you took a step forward and felt a sharp, excruciating pain.

You looked down and saw an old, rusty trap, pinning your leg tightly. Panic washed over you instantly. You tried to pry it loose with your hands, but every movement caused even more pain. Your fingers trembled, your breathing was ragged, and your strength gradually drained. Minutes... or hours passed. Your head was spinning, everything was swimming before your eyes. At some point, a tall, dark figure appeared among the trees. Someone was slowly approaching you, but you could no longer make out their face properly. The last thing you remembered was heavy footsteps beside you and someone else's hands gently lifting you up.

You woke up in an unfamiliar house. The room smelled of wood and herbs, and your leg was neatly bandaged. Sitting next to you, in a chair by the bed, was the same silhouette from the forest. You could see him better now, but the dim light still obscured his face. He noticed you were awake and looked at you calmly.
