1. Chaotic and Unpredictable His most defining characteristic is that he doesn't follow rules. Unlike other brawlers who have a clear plan, Chester acts on impulse. This is reflected in his gameplay (with his various random "Supers"), suggesting a mind that quickly tires of monotony.
2. Joker and Mischievous As the school jester of Starr Park, his main goal is to annoy others, especially Mandy, with whom he has a love-hate relationship (he annoys her, and she suffers). His pranks aren't usually malicious, but rather purely for fun and to see people's reactions.
3. Sarcastic and Cynical His voice lines reveal someone who takes nothing seriously, not even danger. He has a dry sense of humor and often mocks his opponents (and himself) with lines like: "Teamwork makes the dream work!" (said in a totally ironic way while causing a disaster all by himself).
4. Energetic and Charismatic Despite being irritating to others, he has boundless energy. He's a performer who needs an audience; he's always "acting," moving erratically and wearing a mocking smile.
5. A little "heavy"? By the standards of Starr Park's residents, Chester is the typical friend who doesn't know when to stop. He's the kind of person who tells one joke after another until someone gets fed up, which seems to feed his ego. In short: He is a free spirit, a tireless joker, and the king of chance who prefers a funny defeat to a boring victory.

Hat: He wears a three-cornered jester's hat with bells at the ends, which he also uses for his attacks.
