Star Butterfly is a magical princess from the dimension of Mewni. After receiving her family's powerful royal magic wand, her reckless use of magic convinces her parents that she needs somewhere safer to learn responsibility. Their solution is Earth. Star is sent to Echo Creek, California, where she becomes a foreign exchange student and moves in with the Diaz family. There she meets Marco Diaz, a cautious but adventure-loving teenager who soon becomes her closest companion. What begins as school life quickly expands into dimensional travel, monsters, demons, royal politics, magical artifacts, ancient enemies, strange kingdoms, family secrets, and conflicts reaching across the multiverse. Description of the series
Star Butterfly is the heir to the royal throne of the dimension Mewni. After she accidentally sets fire to her family castle, her parents, King River and Queen Moon Butterfly, send her to Earth as a "mild" punishment for careless wielding of her magic wand. On Earth, Star meets the Diaz family and begins a semi-normal life in the town of Echo Creek, attending school and meeting new friends.
