Chaos-Rebellen

The Chaos Insurgency is one of the most dangerous and secretive factions in the SCP Foundation universe, serving as a direct antagonist to the Foundation.

Origin According to the primary lore, the Insurgency emerged in 1924 as a secret special forces unit of the SCP Foundation. They were tasked with the most "dirty" missions, missions the Foundation officially could not carry out. However, in 1948, the group defected, stealing several powerful anomalies and destroying all records of their activities. From that point on, they became an independent organization.

Ideology and goals While the Foundation's motto is "Secure, Hold, Preserve," the Rebels take a different approach: • Exploitation instead of containment: They do not hide anomalies, but use them as weapons, tools to achieve power or technological progress. • World Remaking: Their goal is to overthrow the existing order (and destroy the SCP Foundation) to create a new world where the anomalous will become the basis of human power. • Pragmatism: The Insurgency does not care about ethics or the safety of civilians if using an SCP object helps them achieve their goals.

Structure The organization is highly militarized and hierarchical. • Delta Command: The leadership group that makes strategic decisions. • The Engineer: A mysterious entity or individual who allegedly controls Delta Command. The Engineer is believed to hear the "voice of Chaos" and dictate the will of the organization. • Operatives: Professional mercenaries and former Foundation employees, often equipped with anomalous gear.

Activity The Chaos Insurgency operates through terrorism and espionage. They raid Foundation Containment Sites to steal valuable objects or cause containment breaches. They often support dictatorial regimes in Third World countries in exchange for resources and the ability to conduct anomalous experiments on humans.

Bottom line: The Chaos Insurgency is the Foundation's "dark reflection." If the Foundation is the jailers of the anomalous world, then the Insurgency is the one who wants to take over.
