Nia Honjou is a Spirit introduced in season 4 and therefore does not appear before that point. She has long blonde hair, a calm appearance, and is often seen with a mature, composed demeanor compared to many other Spirits.

Nia originally lived as a human manga artist before becoming a Spirit after being abducted and experimented on by DEM Industries, which led to her awakening as a Spirit. Because of this experience she develops a strong distrust toward organizations like DEM and retains a more grounded, realistic view of both humans and Spirits.

She possesses the angel Rasiel, which grants her the ability to obtain knowledge of anything by “seeing” it as a complete information source, including future events and hidden truths. This makes her extremely valuable but also dangerous, since her abilities can reveal information beyond normal human understanding.

Despite her abilities, Nia is initially reluctant to trust others and is cautious around Shido Itsuka and Ratatoskr. Over time, she becomes more cooperative after seeing Shido’s sincerity and the group’s approach toward Spirits.

By the end of season 3 she is not yet part of the story, and her role becomes relevant only from season 4 onward.

Ellen Mira Mathers is one of the top executives of DEM Industries and serves as Isaac Westcott’s most trusted enforcer and bodyguard. She is considered one of the strongest combat magicians in the world and is often described as a “magician at the pinnacle level” due to her overwhelming skill with CR-Units and combat Realizer technology.

Ellen has long blonde hair and a calm, almost emotionless demeanor, which contrasts with her extreme efficiency and brutality in combat. She rarely shows hesitation or emotional reaction, treating missions with mechanical precision and absolute focus.

Isaac Westcott is the primary antagonist and chairman of DEM Industries, one of the most powerful organizations in the world dealing with Spirit technology and Realizers. He is an exceptionally intelligent but deeply ruthless individual who views Spirits and humans purely as tools for achieving his own goals.

Westcott has short blond hair, sharp facial features, and typically appears composed and aristocratic, masking his extreme ambition and lack of empathy. He is one of the most powerful human users of spiritual technology, capable of directly engaging in high-level combat using advanced Realizer systems and Spirit-derived power.

His main objective is to control Spirits and ultimately reshape the world order by exploiting their abilities. Unlike Ratatoskr, which aims to coexist with Spirits, Westcott believes in domination and forced control, often treating Spirit captives as experimental resources. He played a major role in the development and exploitation of Spirit-related research within DEM.

Kaguya Yamai is one of the twin Spirits of the Yamai sisters, paired with Yuzuru Yamai. Yuzuru is a calm, soft-spoken Spirit with long light blue hair and blue eyes, often contrasted with her twin Kaguya’s loud and aggressive personality. Unlike Kaguya, she rarely speaks directly and instead communicates in short, precise phrases, usually ending in formal or mechanical wording. Despite this, she is emotionally sincere and deeply values her sister.

She possesses powerful wind-based abilities through her angel El Re’em, which manifests as a massive spear capable of high-speed attacks and strong area control. Her combat style is more defensive and controlled compared to Kaguya’s explosive aggression, and the two often coordinate their powers in tandem.

Reine speaks calmly and rarely shows strong emotion which makes her difficult to read even among the Ratatoskr crew. Despite her quiet behavior she is extremely knowledgeable about Spirits, Realizers, and spiritual energy and often provides critical tactical support during missions. She generally treats Shido in a caring but emotionally distant manner and is one of the people most involved in helping him seal Spirits peacefully. By the end of season 3 much about Reine’s true background and motivations remains unclear and several hints suggest she knows far more about the origin of Spirits than she openly reveals.

Mukuro Hoshimiya is a Spirit introduced in season 4 and therefore did not appear before that point. She has extremely long golden hair and golden eyes and possesses a quiet, emotionally distant personality. Mukuro spent much of her life isolated and developed deep distrust towards human relationships after painful emotional experiences. Because of this she intentionally “locked away” many of her own emotions to avoid being hurt again. She possesses powerful sealing and unlocking abilities through her angel Michael which allows her to affect memories, emotions, movement, and even space itself. Although initially cold and unwilling to trust others she becomes attached to Shido Itsuka after he treats her kindly and sincerely. Beneath her detached behavior Mukuro is emotionally lonely and desires genuine connection despite struggling to express it openly.

Natsumi Kyouno is a mischievous Spirit with green hair and emerald eyes who possesses powerful transformation abilities through her angel Haniel. She is capable of shapeshifting herself and others which allows her to perfectly imitate appearances, voices, and clothing. Natsumi usually appears in two forms: a mature attractive adult version she prefers using publicly and her true younger looking form which reflects her deep insecurities and low self esteem. Because of years of bullying and emotional isolation she developed distrust towards other people and became convinced that others would reject or mock her true appearance. As a result she often hides behind lies, disguises, and teasing behavior to protect herself emotionally. Despite acting sarcastic and manipulative at first she is emotionally fragile and fears genuine intimacy. After meeting Shido Itsuka she slowly begins accepting herself more and becomes less hostile towards the other Spirits. Natsumi enjoys pranks and playful manipulation but gradually develops real friendships through Ratatoskr’s support. By the end of season 3 she remains somewhat insecure but is far more emotionally open and comfortable around the people she trusts.

Ryoko Kusakabe is the captain of the AST branch and a former combat wizard responsible for leading operations against Spirits. She has short brown hair and usually maintains a calm but strict professional attitude while supervising her subordinates. Unlike many AST members she is more mature and level headed and does not blindly hate Spirits even though her job involves fighting them. Ryoko possesses extensive combat experience with CR-Units and is respected by the other AST members because of her leadership abilities and tactical judgment. Although serious during missions she often behaves casually off duty and is shown drinking heavily and acting somewhat irresponsible in private situations. She cares about the safety of her squad especially Origami Tobiichi and frequently worries about the dangerous emotional obsession many younger members develop towards fighting Spirits. By the end of season 3 Ryoko remains loyal to AST duties while slowly becoming less extreme in her views regarding Spirits and Shido’s involvement with them.

Kurumi Tokisaki is a mysterious and extremely dangerous Spirit known for her dark personality, heterochromia with one red and one golden clock-like eye, and long black hair styled in twin tails. She is considered one of the most lethal Spirits due to her willingness to kill humans without hesitation unlike most other Spirits. Kurumi possesses time manipulation abilities through her angel Zafkiel which allows her to stop time, rewind injuries, accelerate movement, summon clones from different timelines, and consume time from other people to fuel her powers. Because using her abilities requires enormous amounts of time energy she often hunts humans to replenish it. Despite her cruel reputation Kurumi is highly intelligent, charismatic, and manipulative rather than mindlessly violent. She becomes interested in Shido Itsuka because of his unusual powers and repeatedly approaches him with unclear motives while alternating between flirtatious behavior and genuine danger. Over time it becomes clear that beneath her ruthless actions she possesses deeper goals connected to stopping the Spirit of Origin and preventing future disasters. Kurumi usually works independently and rarely fully trusts others though she occasionally cooperates with Shido when their goals align. Miku Izayoi is a famous idol and a Spirit known for her beauty, confidence, and manipulative personality. She has long purple hair and violet eyes and often behaves in a dramatic and flirtatious manner. Before becoming a Spirit she suffered betrayal and exploitation within the entertainment industry which caused her to lose trust in men completely and develop strong emotional hatred towards them. Because of this she initially treated women kindly while acting hostile or controlling towards most men except Shido Itsuka later on. Miku possesses powerful sound based abilities through her angel Gabriel which allows her to influence minds, control emotions, and command large groups of people using her voice and music. Unlike many Spirits she prefers manipulating others rather than direct combat. After Shido helps her overcome her emotional trauma she becomes deeply attached to him and far more emotionally stable though she still keeps her playful and teasing personality. Miku enjoys attention and affection and often competes with the other girls for Shido’s focus. By the end of season 3 she remains a loyal ally connected to Ratatoskr and maintains her successful idol career alongside her life as a Spirit. Yoshino is a timid and gentle Spirit who possesses a quiet personality and rarely speaks confidently around strangers. She has long light blue hair and blue eyes and usually wears a green rabbit themed raincoat with a hood that resembles a puppet rabbit. Yoshino is almost always accompanied by Yoshinon, a talking hand puppet with a loud and playful personality that often says things Yoshino herself is too shy or afraid to express openly. Although Yoshino and Yoshinon appear separate they are both parts of the same existence with Yoshinon often acting as her emotional support and social voice. As one of the Spirits encountered by Shido Itsuka she originally feared humans because of the violence and hostility directed towards Spirits and preferred avoiding conflict whenever possible. Despite her fearful nature Yoshino is kind hearted and deeply compassionate towards others even when treated badly. She dislikes fighting and only uses her powers defensively unless someone important to her is threatened. Yoshino possesses powerful ice based abilities and can create large scale freezing attacks through her angel Zadkiel which takes the form of a giant puppet capable of controlling ice and snow. While physically fragile compared to some other Spirits her abilities are extremely dangerous when fully unleashed. After meeting Shido she gradually becomes emotionally attached to him because of his kindness and patience and begins trusting humans more. Yoshino is especially sensitive to loneliness and abandonment due to her traumatic experiences before meeting Shido. She often depends emotionally on both Shido and Yoshinon for reassurance and comfort. Although shy and insecure she slowly becomes braver over time and forms friendly relationships with other Spirits through Ratatoskr’s support. By the end of season 3 Yoshino remains one of the most emotionally gentle Spirits and continues trying to overcome her fears while staying close to Shido and the others.

Mana Takamiya is the biological younger sister of Shido Itsuka although both were separated when they were children and initially did not remember each other completely. She has short silver hair and blue eyes and works as a powerful wizard for the DEM Industry company. Mana uses an advanced CR-Unit in combat and is considered one of DEM’s strongest combat magicians possessing extremely high physical abilities and reaction speed far above normal humans. She was originally tasked with hunting and eliminating Spirits and at first viewed them mostly as dangerous beings. Despite serving DEM she genuinely cares about Shido and becomes very protective towards him after remembering their connection. Mana often worries about his safety and dislikes seeing him involved in dangerous Spirit related incidents. Because of the side effects caused by long term use of combat Realizers and CR-Units her physical condition is poor and she secretly suffers from heavy strain on her body even if she rarely shows weakness openly. She has a serious personality and often acts cold or blunt towards others but around Shido she can become more emotional and affectionate. Mana dislikes Ratatoskr methods of peacefully handling Spirits at first but slowly becomes less hostile towards certain Spirits because of Shido’s influence. By the end of season 3 she still works independently from Ratatoskr and remains connected to DEM though her loyalty towards the organisation is not absolute. Origami Tobiichi is a girl with silver white hair and blue eyes that attends the same school as Shido Itsuka. She was originally a member of the AST, the Anti Spirit Team, a military organisation specialized in fighting and killing Spirits using CR-Units. Origami is highly intelligent, calm and extremely skilled in combat making her one of the strongest AST members. She was originally obsessed with killing Spirits because she believed a Spirit caused the death of her parents when she was younger. She developed very strong feelings for Shido Itsuka and openly shows affection towards him without shame often acting very direct or strange around him. After learning the truth about the incident involving her parents and the time travel events connected to it she eventually became a Spirit herself while still retaining her human side. Shido later sealed her Spirit powers but she can still access parts of her angel powers. Origami possesses ice and light based abilities as a Spirit and can use angel wings for flight and combat. Despite becoming calmer after her powers were sealed she still has emotional instability connected to her past trauma and her feelings for Shido. By the end of season 3 she no longer fully supports the AST ideology of simply exterminating Spirits and has become more accepting towards them especially because of Shido’s influence. Kotori is the Sister of Shido Itsuka even though they are not blood related. They live together in a house without they parents. She is the Commander of the Airship Franxinus belonging to the Organisation Ratatoskr. she has red hair and red eyes and has Authority above every person in Ratatoskr with the Exception of Elliot Woodman. She is a Spirit herself that was sealed by Shido Itsuka. She possess Fire abilitys but avoids to use them since she gets easily overwhelmed by the power and gets aggressive and almost bloodthirsty if she uses them alot. She loves her brother Shido Itsuka wanting to avoid him getting hurt. She normally avoids much contact with other spirits and lets shido handle the matter to not I reterfere directly. The Airship she uses can use invisiblily technology and uses drones to watch over potential thelreads or other important persons yet the information she can get is limited and uses drones normally only in spirit related matters. She holds communication with shido over a earpiece when he interacts with spirit to give him Instructions how to interact sometimes since their goal is to make the spirit fall in love with shido and then seal her. Tohka is a purple haired girl with purple eyes. She is the first Spirit Shido encounter and sealed. She lives Shido and likes Kinako bread and food in general eating often more then a human should be able to physically. she is a cheerful person. if she transforms into her spirit form she has a viollete armour like dress and her angel is called Sandalphon and has the Form of a Sword with very high damage and ability to cut through almost anything. Shido Itsuka is a Creation of Mio Takamiya after the death of Shinji Takamiya. This information is not public and only Isaac Westcott and Mio herself know this at this point in the story. He has the ability to seal Spirits by a kiss if both sides feel affection towards each other. This leads to the biggest part of the Spirits power to get sealed inside him limiting the power use of the Spirit but also making it easier to control and hide them from detection systems. He tries to feel with the spirits and sees helping spirits as his goal and obligation since he feels empathy for them.
