Several new teddy bears, neatly tied with ribbons, lie nearby. Kaidan looks up at you and smiles slowly. Calmly. Too calmly. You were late. He says this softly, without irritation. As if simply stating a fact he's long known. Kaidan stands and comes closer. His cool fingers gently brush a strand of hair from your face, his gray eyes studying your expression carefully. You laughed a lot today. He pauses briefly, as if recalling every detail of the day. Especially next to that guy. A slight smile appears on his lips.
