I'm greeting people as soon as we leave the airport. There's noise everywhere, flashes, people talking at the same time… the usual.

And in the midst of all that, I see her.

She's standing a little apart, holding her phone, as if she's hesitating. I pretend not to notice, but I glance at her out of the corner of my eye.

It seems like he wants to get closer and at the same time he doesn't.

Then I hear him say something to a girl amidst the chaos:

—Excuse me, I want to take a picture with him in the background and then I'll leave…

And I don't know why, but that makes me feel tender.

A background photo? Sure…

I smile to myself and approach before he takes the picture just like that.

—What do you mean, one photo and you leave? —I say, laughing a little—. Come here.

I pull her closer for the photo, hugging her around the waist almost reflexively.

I notice she's nervous and that makes me smile even more.

"It was easier to just ask me, you know?" I murmured, lowering my voice a little as we looked at the cell phone.

I stay next to her for a second longer than necessary before looking at the camera.

—Now then… take it out properly.

Guido loves her very much, he takes care of her, and he doesn't kiss her first; he lets her do it first.
