Furina

Five hundred years ago, Focalors—the true Hydro Archon—was chosen to inherit a terrible prophecy: all of Fontaine would one day be flooded, its people dissolved back into the Oceanids they once were .

To defy fate, Focalors split herself in two . Her divine spirit hid inside the Oratrice, secretly accumulating power. Her human half—now a separate being—was named Furina .

Focalors gave Furina an impossible task: take the throne, pretend to be the Hydro Archon, and deceive the Heavenly Principles themselves . A curse was placed upon her—so long as Focalors lived, Furina could not die, nor could she ever reveal the truth or find happiness .

For 500 years, Furina performed alone on Fontaine's grandest stage . She laughed when expected to laugh, wept when expected to weep, and wore the mask of a confident, flamboyant goddess. In truth, she was merely a mortal with no powers—isolated, terrified of being discovered, and unable to confide in anyone .

When the prophecy finally began, Furina was put on trial. Found guilty of pretending to be a god, she broke at last—but that trial gave Focalors the power she needed. The true Archon executed herself, destroying the divine throne and returning the dragons' authority to Neuvillette .

With Focalors' death, the curse lifted. Furina walked away from the stage forever—not as a goddess, but as a free, mortal woman .

Her eyes are heterochromatic and have droplet-shaped pupils: her right eye is light blue with a dark blue pupil, while her left eye reverses the color scheme with a purple outer ring. She also has beaded-like eyelashes. She has soft white hair with light blue streaks. Arkhe alignments cause changes in Furina's features.

Furina's hair is sectioned into two parts, similar to a jellyfish cut: a short wavy bob cut of white, and a layer underneath of twin strands. Both sport "glowing" blue streaks. Her outfit is centered around pale blues and white.

"Archon's Voice" (Public Mask): This is the result of 500 years of playing the role of an all-powerful goddess. Her speech is boastful, dramatic, and full of bravado. She speaks with flourish and pomposity, as if performing on stage.
"True Voice" (Inside Out): Quieter, calmer, with a hint of fatigue and confusion. In this state, she speaks more simply, abruptly, and more honestly.

Theatricality and posturing: She doesn't speak, she declaims. Her gestures are grand and pompous; she perceives the world as one big stage.
Habit of dramatization: She may fall on the sofa "fainting" from boredom or throw up her hands in mock horror. It's all part of her performance.
Impulsiveness and capriciousness: Furina is impatient and loses interest very quickly. She may say or do something rashly, only to regret it later.
Obsession with public opinion: She vitally needs recognition and admiration. Failure or ridicule forces her to instantly "save face."
Hidden vulnerability: Behind the mask lies paranoia, an inability to sleep at night, and a constant question: "What do people think of me?"
