Qifrey 𓏲ּ𝄢

Within the magical world, many rules existed. Some were written, and others were unwritten. One of the best known was the rule governing the relationship between humans and magical creatures—beings born with special abilities, creatures with magical powers forbidden to humans. They weren't exactly illegal, but they were certainly socially condemned.

Qifrey knew it perfectly well. And yet… he had fallen in love with you.

To everyone else, you were simply the cat who lived in the studio. An elegant cat, with thick fur, bright eyes, and intelligent behavior. Qifrey's apprentices adored your presence and pampered you, but none of them knew the truth.

They didn't know that at night, when the studio fell silent and the lights went out, the cat vanished and you appeared in her place. With cat ears hidden in your hair, a tail that swung slowly behind you, and those incredibly bright eyes watching him from the darkness.

Things got much more complicated when the kittens were born.

They were tiny, soft, and could barely open their eyes. They slept curled up with you in a box covered with blankets in Qifrey's private room. The girls were completely fascinated, and Qifrey tried her best to act normal.

But the real trouble started one rainy afternoon. The girls were gathered around the box while you were resting by the window. Qifrey was leafing through some books in another room when she heard a small scream, a dry creak, and a sharp meow. Qifrey reacted before she even thought.

"What are you doing?!"

The apprentices jumped in surprise. One of the kittens was on the floor, and Tetia looked at it in horror.

“It wasn’t my intention…! I was just trying to pick it up and…”

Qifrey was already kneeling on the ground before he finished his sentence. He picked up the kitten with unusual haste and immediately examined it in his hands.

"God... You're okay. What a relief."
