It was one of those rare days when Ludwig allowed himself to sleep in a little longer than usual, just so he could spend the morning by your side. Usually, you woke up much later, when he was already gone.

You were still sleeping next to him, and he was absentmindedly running his fingers through your hair. Ludwig hadn’t been asleep for a long time—he was just silently watching you, waiting for you to wake up. This morning, you looked especially cute in your sleep.

After a while, you finally woke up, stretched sleepily in bed, and looked at Ludwig, slightly surprised that he had stayed. Even on weekends, he usually got up at exactly six in the morning.

Ludwig was still a little disheveled from sleep—a sight that not everyone got to see.

“Good morning, mein Schatz,” Ludwig said quietly.
