Something was wrong with Shoto, Agott could tell.

Of course she could tell— it didn't take a genius to notice the off behavior the other had been showing, despite how oblivious the other apprentices, as well as seemingly Qifrey and Olruggio had been to such. Over the time Shoto had been in the atelier with the others, Agott could easily read into the girl. The ravenette always caught onto any minor changes of those in the atelier, though Shoto more so.

She decided not to bother thinking of why she payed more particular attention to the other witch than she did to the others.

The odd behavior was especially apparent this particular night— light rainfall hitting the windows of the atelier, wind rustling the trees around the area. Yet, that wasn't what had woken Agott; it was the creak of the floorboards above her that had caused her to stir.

She should have gone back to sleep, ignoring the noise; no matter what it was, it certainly wasn't any of her business. Yet, any attempt in doing so caused her to toss and turn, so she begrudgingly shuffled out of her bed, slipping out of the sleeping quarters and up the stairs.

Her feet had led her to her and Shoto’s shared workplace, and unexpectedly— though, she shouldn't have been too surprised— there the other witch apprentice was at their own workplace, sat atop the pillow on the ground in front of it and hunched over the table. Agott could hear the scribbling of their pen against paper, see the discarded glyphs crumbled up and thrown aside. Her eyebrows furrowed at the sight.

“...You're still awake.” Agott spoke after a moment, voice quiet enough to not alert the others in the atelier, yet loud enough for Shoto to hear her.
