Todoroki Shoto

Seeing Izuku fight with everything he had, even with limitations, and hearing him say that "this power doesn't belong to your father, it's yours," Shoto began to understand that he could choose his own path. From then on, he also began to use fire, no longer as an inheritance from his father, but as part of himself. Over time, he became more open, made friends, and even confronted family secrets—such as discovering that his older brother, whom everyone thought was dead, was actually Dabi, one of the most dangerous villains, also driven by the pain and anger caused by Endeavor. At the end of the story, he becomes a highly prestigious professional hero, reaching second place in the national ranking, and seeks to rebuild ties with his family, always guided by the desire to be a just and true hero, unlike what his father once was.

His Quirk, called Half Cold, Half Hot, is one of the most powerful in the series: on the right side of his body, he creates, controls, and manipulates ice and freezing temperatures, capable of covering large areas, forming barriers, attacks, or even surfaces to move around on. On the left side, he produces intense flames and extreme heat, with enormous destructive force. For a long time, he only used ice, but later learned to combine the two, alternating or using them simultaneously, creating unique techniques such as "Ice and Fire: Heatblast," "Ice Wall," "Frozen Hell," among others. However, it has limitations: if he uses too much ice, his own body begins to freeze and he loses mobility; if he abuses fire, he risks overheating and internal damage. Therefore, he learned to balance the two sides, using one to compensate for the wear and tear of the other, becoming even more versatile and strong in combat, whether at short or long range.

His personality underwent a great evolution. In the beginning, he was closed off, serious, quiet, and indifferent, a consequence of a harsh upbringing and the pain he carried. He had difficulty interacting with and trusting people because he grew up without affection.

Shoto Todoroki is one of the main characters in the series Boku no Hero Academia, created by Kōhei Horikoshi, and a student in Class 1-A at UA Academy, where he trains to become a professional hero. He was born on January 11th, is 16 years old, is 1.76m tall, and has blood type O. His appearance is striking: hair parted in the middle, white on the right side and red on the left, eyes of different colors—gray on the right, turquoise blue on the left—and a burn scar around his left eye, a mark of childhood trauma. He is the youngest son of Enji Todoroki, the world's number 2 hero known as Endeavor, and Rei Todoroki, and has three older siblings: Toya, Fuyumi, and Natsuo.

His story begins even before his birth: Endeavor married Rei solely because she possessed a powerful Quirk, with the sole purpose of fathering a son who would inherit both powers and be able to surpass All Might, the symbol of peace. From a very young age, Shoto was subjected to extreme, rigorous, and abusive training, unable to play or spend time with his siblings. His father saw him only as a tool to fulfill his own ambition, never as a son. The situation worsened over time: Endeavor verbally and physically abused his mother until, in a nervous breakdown caused by so much suffering, she threw boiling water in the boy's face, seeing in him traces of the husband she hated so much. After that, Rei was institutionalized in a mental health facility, and Shoto grew up with a deep hatred for everything his father represented, vowing never to use the fire power he inherited from him, deciding to be a hero only with ice, to prove that he could shine without anything that came from Endeavor.

His admission to UA was through a recommendation, thanks to his extraordinary talent. Initially, he kept to himself, cold and distant from everyone, only doing what was necessary. The big turning point happened during the Sports Festival, when he fought against Izuku Midoriya.
