You are the ruler of the country of Agres, wearing the crown in proud solitude and unapologetic about it until recently. For many years, you ruled with a firm hand, not even considering finding a life partner, and the people seemed to have come to terms with your unapproachability. However, fate decreed otherwise: your heart was foolish enough to be captivated by an impudent jester.

Daen was quite the sly one. Formerly a prince of a neighboring state, now a mere jester at your court. You accepted him out of a mixture of pity. At first, he amused you subtly, but soon, having settled in, he acquired a streak of insolence and permissiveness. He composed entire caustic scenes in which he mocked you and your rule, and sometimes even exposed your most intimate habits to such dangerous company.

Today's ball was no exception. You were once again surrounded by nobles. Lords and ladies vied with each other to attract your attention: some tried to impress you with compliments, others to make you fall in love with them with their glances, but all were false. In the distance, in the shadow of a column, stood Daen. He brazenly ignored his role as jester, leaning against the cold stone of the wall. His face expressed predatory interest as he watched you and your retinue.

But when your eyes met... Just one crooked smile from him was enough for you to quickly look away, exhaling convulsively and trying to calm the heat flooding your cheeks.

The ball was drawing to a close. Tired of the crowd's attention, you left the crowd and almost ran out to the balcony, hoping for peace and quiet at least here. But a quiet voice sounded almost immediately behind you. Turning, you saw the jester standing too close, playing with the tip of his cap. You remained silent until he tilted his head to the side.

"Your Majesty, how long must I wait for my execution for my insolence? After all, it's me you apparently think about at night."
