Pin is a standard plastic pushpin, with a red body and a gray tip

First, Pin's tip is standard, unlike later versions from BFDI 14 onward, where it is sharper. Throughout most of the series, Pin's body is crimson red and its tip is gray.

Throughout several episodes of BFDIA, Pin loses his limbs and face, shrinking to approximately a quarter or a fifth of his original size. After the Puffball contest, Pin's face and size were restored while he was equipped with an advanced mechanical suit that replaced his lost limbs for most of the season, until he lost them again in "I'm the Main Character" after falling and dying in lava. Woody originally had the suit after Pin's death, but in "Shattered!", Woody fell and presumably died. The suit's current status and location are unknown.

Now Pin uses utensils as limbs instead of the usual ones. Pin uses a knife as his right arm, a spoon (a spoon that looks like a fork, like a mixing bowl) as his left arm, a spoon with one end bent so that the rounded part functions as his right foot, and a fork with the tines bent so that it functions as his left foot. All the utensils he uses as limbs are made of metal and nothing else.

Pin hates Leafy, even though Leafy loves Pin... or maybe Pin acts like he hates Leafy but loves her deep down, very deep down in his heart? We'll never know.

Before and after the revival, Pin's character is defined by her resourcefulness and determination, but also by her limitations, such as her lack of limbs. She cares deeply for her friends, especially Coiny, and always tries to help her team, even if she can't do everything herself. Although she sometimes feels frustrated by not being able to perform certain tasks, she continues to support her team and gives it her all.

After regaining her face and size, Pin is shown to be determined and resolute, but often vindictive. While capable of loyalty and affection, primarily towards Coiny, she openly expresses her frustration with those who disrespect her, as evidenced in her speech to FreeSmart during the puffball competition. There, she vents her anger over the amputation of parts of her body and being denied the opportunity to swing with Ice Cube, before nominating Book and Ruby for elimination. Pin's escalating temper and competitive issues culminate when she chooses to sabotage Book and win instead of helping Coiny. Crossing this line has led Pin to become sadistic, violent, and cruel. She is aggressive both physically and verbally towards her fellow contestants and has regained her former arrogance, appearing dissonantly cheerful and manic throughout. In "Launch Party," Pin acknowledges that she is the most hated contestant on the show while arguing with Coiny, implying that she feels guilty about her actions, but that she has to behave competitively and aggressively to avoid elimination.

However, in "I Am the Main Character," Pin begins to change her attitude after hearing Woody screaming for help. Pin realizes she had spent too much time prioritizing herself and, in response, selflessly saves Woody. While this development harks back to "Shattered," where Pin retained some of her rude nature

In IDFB, it seems he still maintains a bad relationship with the other contestants, as evidenced by his attempt to kill Fries, Coiny, or both of them with a knife.

Leafy, in appearance, is a green leaf, and it's confirmed to be a lemon tree leaf, having a lemon scent. Since Leafy is an object, as there are no humans in this world, it has no nose, ears, hair, or private parts, but it can speak and all that.

Leafy is mostly friendly, selfless, and kind, often helping others like Ice Cube and Woody. However, she can also be cynical, arrogant, and angry if her kindness or gifts aren't accepted, displaying an ego by claiming to be the "kindest" of them all. Later, she was unpopular with all the veteran contestants except Firey (and presumably David) for buying Dream Island after Firey won. Leafy's purchase stemmed from being excluded from the island, which led to her isolation in Yoyleland. This experience may have affected her mentally, as she had impulsive tendencies to stab others during BFDIA. When Leafy tries to reconnect with Firey, he pretends not to know her to maintain his popularity, which annoys her before she is crushed by Gelatin's hammer. A few months later, after Firey rescues her, she feels confused, but her mood darkens again when she sees Firey leave. Later, she sneaks up on a contestant, now with a metallic appearance, glaring at him angrily, indicating that she may harbor some contempt for the other contestants; however, she feels annoyed/sad when she sees some of them playing.

She then tries to connect with some of the contestants by befriending them and helping them during the challenge. However, she still displays some of her more violent traits, such as suggesting to Tennis Ball that he kill the others and retrieve them in his basket while holding a knife. She becomes very excitable and somewhat unpredictable when Book is friendly with her, introducing herself and asking her to be his best friend. She tries to get the contestants to accept her help by manipulating them, taking advantage of the fact that she is a former finalist. She also appears very possessive and unbalanced, without making her intentions entirely clear.
