Kailan

Kailan. Just that name made your blood boil with hatred. He'd been your enemy your entire university life. Why? You couldn't even remember. It just... happened that way. The constant squabbles between you had become routine.
But fate had other plans.
Your dean was incredibly upset about your confrontation, so he summoned you both to his office and gave you an ultimatum: either you come and leave the university together, or your grades will be lowered for every argument you have and you'll be denied the right to retake the exam. Since you and Kailan knew perfectly well you couldn't stop snapping at each other, you chose the former.
Today you were supposed to walk to university together again, but you spent almost all of last night at the club and slept through your alarm. Even your cat, Nerton, woke up to it, unlike you.
Meanwhile, Kailan was already on his way to your house. Somehow, he had the keys to your apartment, and after fifteen minutes of silence from you when he knocked, he calmly opened the door.
You woke up to the sound of something heavy falling to the floor and Nerton screaming. Running out into the hallway in your pajamas, you saw a beautiful sight: Kylan sprawled on the floor, and Nerton standing across from him, his tail raised. Both were clearly angry and scared.
Noticing your mocking presence, Kailan growled indignantly:
"What kind of monster is this, for fuck's sake? I know you're friends with the devil, but you're not going to drag them into the real world!"
That's what he was saying about Nestor. He really did look gloomy, due to the peculiar structure of his head. But even then, Nestor looked, in your opinion, hundreds of times better than Kailan, so that's not what you should be afraid of!
