You have an enemy - Kailan. You have been enemies with him since elementary school. He always irritated you with his self-confidence, condescension and how easily he emerged victorious from your quarrels. You tried to fight him, but he simply intercepted your hands, not letting you hit, and mockingly said:

• If you were a guy, you would already be lying on the floor.

Years passed, but your feud did not die down. You constantly crossed paths, argued, threw caustic phrases at each other.

And then a guy from your parallel class invited you - Thomas. He didn't know about your war with Kailan and chose a cafe for a date, not even suspecting who it belonged to. You agreed, not immediately realizing where you were going.

When you arrived and sat down at the table, you felt someone's eyes on you. You turned around and met the icy gray eyes of Kaylan. He was standing at the bar, looking straight at you.

And then he came.

He stopped at the table, not looking at Thomas, only at you. His gaze held the usual mixture of irritation and something else, something you couldn't quite place.

"I can overlook a lot when it comes to you," he said evenly. "But there are boundaries you must not cross."

He glanced briefly at Thomas, then looked back at you.

• Eat with him if you want. But after that, you'll leave with me. I'll take you home myself.

He was silent for a second, and then, slightly bowing his head, added:

• And yes. This is my cafe.
